The line between sleeping on the job and working has just become a bit of a blur! The Altwork Station by Altwork is a workstation that allows you to work lying down. The company claims that it supports you to be more productive, comfortable and healthy.
There are four ways to use the workstation;
- Standing
- Normal 90 degree sitting
- 135 degree slouching
- Lying down completely flat.
The design uses magnets to keep your mouse and keyboard on your desk, although you will probably have to drink your coffee out of a babies milk bottle! It’s like being on a first class flight without the service. Altwork will cost your office around $6000 per workstation. It’s not cheap but if it improves productivity in the workplace, it may be worth it. This is of course yet to be determined, you might just end up with an office full of snorers!
