Victoria University is ‘committed to improving their environmental sustainability performance across all campuses and fostering education for sustainability in teaching, learning and research’. The University recycles almost everything including toner cartridges, electronic equipment, mobile phones, batteries and scrap metal.
Fitout
Egans is one of the university’s preferred furniture suppliers because our sustainable furniture options align with the university’s environmental commitment. In this instance, Egans supplied, delivered and installed 20 office workstations and associated furniture for a move into a Cremorne office.
Reuse
Whilst existing furniture was moved and reused where possible, All new furniture supplied by Egans was sourced through our Circular Furniture Program which takes a circular approach to sustainable asset disposal.
Recycle
All recyclable furniture and waste material that could not be reused was split-waste recycled.
Outcome
Victoria University was able to fitout their office with uniform workstations and associated furniture without buying new.
