The design of student chairs and desks has come a long way. Or has it? This student chair and desk pictured below (not one of ours) was state of the art back in the 1930’s featuring an adjustable swivel chair, an adjustable desk, a cubby hole for your books, and of course the pen holder. Fantastic!

Have a look at this fantastic patented invention from Sept 15th 1868. A student chair that has a desk at the back for the student behind you. Very commercial jet like! I’m sure getting the center of gravity right was quite the challenge.
