As we all have basic needs, Herman Miller believes supporting these needs should align with workplace design. This strategy has clearly worked with the company’s Aeron chair being the highest selling and most commonly used chair in corporate Australia.

It has been around for decades but the ergonomically designed Aeron chair is still ranked as the number 1 office chair in 2016 by Gadget Review , Omnicore, Best Reviews, Yosaki, Life Hacker and many others. It won design of the decade from the Industrial Designers Society of America.
According to Wikipedia, the chair was designed in 1994 by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf. It is considered America’s best selling chair and can be found in the the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Apparently the chair was named after Aeron, the celtic God. It also plays on the words aeration and aeronautics.
