Unwanted redundant business furniture can be a real pain in the neck for businesses. Initially, a business will try to sell their furniture but often resort to commissioning a removalist company to take the office furniture to the tip. You might however be surprised with what we can do with so called ‘end of life’ furniture. We may not be able to sell it retail, but the potential for wholesale is often plausible as seen in the images below.
In this case we had a consignment of furniture supposedly fit for the tip in Adelaide that we were able to deliver to an auction house for wholesale clearance. These compactus units require a lot of labour to dismantle, remove, and dispose. A business needs some way to recoup the cost of unwanted furniture. More often than not, whilst we may not be able to make you money on your old furniture, we can at least offset some or all of the transport and disposal cost through wholesale auctions and recycling. Our method also saves you tip fees. We even have a process for recycling melamine.
We dispose furniture for business through our Wise Office Furniture Program which categorises disposal furniture into ‘Retail’, ‘Wholesale’, and ‘Recycle’. We pick out the items in your consignment that we know we can get retail prices for. These items often offset the transport and recycling costs of the other items in the consignment that we separate for wholesale and recycle.
‘Wholesale’ is used as a clearance tactic for bulk quantities of furniture that have little resale value. Our ‘Recycle’ facilities then take the remainder of the consignment with no resale value and split-waste recycle the assets. The transport and labour costs involved in the recycling of these ‘end of life’ assets can be offset not only the from the ‘Retail’ items, but also from the resale of the raw materials that we separate.
The final outcome for you the business is a cost effective environmentally friendly solution to unwanted business furniture.
